December 30th: At approximately 0715 hours Communications alerted Belfast Fire to a motor vehicle crash. Within minutes reports were coming in stating that people were trapped in their vehicles. Communications added Patetown Fire for extracation services. Belfast units arrived and setup command, fire protection, and scene security. Patetown Truck 10 and Brush arrived and immediately went to removing both patients. Units divided up the tools and manpower. The Sheriffs Deputy was removed within about 10 minutes with a quick door pop. The other driver was removed after removing the B post, driver's door, and driver's side rear door. Both drivers were removed within 25 minutes. Units returned to service shortly thereafter once clean up was completed. Nahunta Fire was added to the alarm but their tools were not needed due to quick removal of the Deputy. The members of Patetown Fire Department wish our Sheriff's Deputy brother a speedy recovery.
